Innovative Care Management Inc. (ICM) Appoints New CEO

Portland, OR – Innovative Care Management Inc., a Portland-based Medical Management company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Marion Shipley as CEO. Previously serving as the company’s COO, Shipley transitioned to her new position as CEO in October 2019.

Shipley started her career with Innovative Care Management (ICM) in 1995 as a Precertification Specialist while working on her master’s in health administration. She was quickly recognized by management as a leader within the company and has taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities in her nearly 25 years with ICM. Shipley has worked side by side with ICM’s founders and industry pioneers Sherry Chenell and Kris Hallock to create a nationally recognized brand in medical management. In her new role as CEO, Shipley will continue to direct all facets of the organization, providing the leadership necessary for ICM to remain focused on its core strengths of timely, customized and responsive medical management while expanding the product line to adapt to the changing landscape and needs of customers.

“I am honored to be leading such a talented group of people who care so deeply about ICM’s mission of providing compassionate care oversight. It’s an exciting time in the medical management field and I’m looking forward to building on ICM’s long history of innovation and respect in healthcare,” said Shipley.

As Shipley transitions into her new role as CEO, both Sherry Chenell and Kris Hallock will maintain active roles within the company and will continue serve on the executive board.

“We are beyond thrilled to have Marion step into her new role as CEO for ICM. Marion’s intimate familiarity with our organization these past 25 years blended with her wealth of industry knowledge; ability to listen to our employees, customers and business partners; and proven track record of effectively managing and leading our organization have prepared her well for this new position. We couldn’t find a better leader than Marion to take the reins and lead our organization forward,” said Hallock and Chenell.

Innovative Care Management has also announced a key addition to their management team: Barbara Barde, CPC has joined ICM as Vice President of Human Resources and Operations. Barbara brings 24 years of domestic and international human resources and business operations experience to ICM, most recently serving as a Senior HR and Business Consultant.
